IBM Quantum Platforms: A Quantum Battery Perspective

We characterize for the first time performances of IBM quantum chips as batteries, specifically addressing single-qubit Armonk processor. By exploiting Pulse access enabled to some Quantum processors via Qiskit package, we investigate advantages and limitations different profiles classical drives used charge these miniaturized establishing optimal compromise between charging stored energy. Moreover, consider role played by various possible initial conditions on functioning batteries. As main result our analysis, observe that unavoidable errors occurring in initialization phase qubit, which can be detrimental computing applications, only marginally affect energy transfer storage. This lead counter-intuitively improvements performances. is a strong indication fact devices are already proper range parameters considered good stable batteries comparable state-of-the-art recently discussed literature.
